What is the ACT?

Myths About the SAT and ACT
Myth #1: Colleges prefer one test over the other.
Colleges have no preference. You can apply to the same schools, regardless of which test you decide to take, but your scores will be one of the top factors that influence their college admissions decisions. The tests provide admissions officers with a data point they can use to compare you with other applicants alongside your high school GPA, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, interview and personal essay. Many students take both tests; if they do poorly on one, they may do better on the other.
Myth #2: The ACT is easier than the SAT.
The ACT is not “easier” or “harder” than the SAT, but taking the test that best fits your skills and abilities will help you earn the highest scores. The best way to decide which test you prefer is to take the Chyten ACT Actual Condition Practice Test and SAT Actual Condition Practice Test. These are comprehensive and multifaceted practice exams that help students become completely prepared for whatever testing challenges lay ahead.
Myth #3: There is no way to improve your SAT or ACT score.
Again, this is not true. Both the SAT and ACT are coachable tests. With test prep and personal attention from your expert Chyten tutor, you CAN improve your score. If you work hard at familiarizing yourself with the test and identifying and fixing your mistakes, you may even dramatically increase your score.
